Happy National Chocolate Day! The U.S. National Confectioners Association (NCA) created this glorious day in which we celebrate all things chocolate. Did you know every year Americans drop $22 billion (!!!) on chocolate? This level of popularity may be why there are multiple chocolate days: International Chocolate Day (July 7), World Chocolate Day (July 11), and to make matters even more confusing, the NCA lists its International Chocolate Day as Sept. 13.
I happen to love chocolate and am just fine with celebrating it every day. I love chocolate so much that I assembled a list of the top 10 chocolate songs, spanning nearly 75 years. We begin with a Doris Day tune from the ‘40s and wrap things up with a new song from rising R&B star Kiana Ledé. Much like a Russell Stover assorted chocolate box, there’s plenty of variety on this list. [Note: The songs had to include “chocolate” in both the title and the lyrics.] So grab your favorite chocolate bar, my fellow chocoholics, and enjoy 360°Sound’s soundtrack to National Chocolate Day.

We hope you enjoyed these tasty chocolate songs. I had to restrain myself; I wanted to keep going. (I admittedly got a bit carried away with the coffee playlist on International Coffee Day). If you haven’t already, make sure you check out our songs about beer and ice cream as well. Stay tuned to 360°Sound for more food-, drink-, and whatever-themed songs. Now, if you’ll excuse me, it suddenly got cold here in Austin this week, so I’m going to pour myself a cup of hot chocolate.
